Rodrigo Muniz’s stunning control and finish against Liverpool has been voted Fulham’s Goal of the Month for April.
Alex Iwobi’s volley as a corner was cleared to him 25 yards out was met with jeers from the away end when it went more up that forwards, but they weren’t laughing when Muniz brought it out of the sky with a gorgeous touch that left Virgil van Dijk chasing shadows.
Pushing the ball further beyond the Reds captain with his thigh, Muniz was now in the box but with the angles against him, only to smash a precise low shot between the legs of Caoimhin Kelleher.
It was a goal that would prove to be the winner against a team that had not lost away from Anfield in the Premier League all season.
59.8 per cent of fans voted for Muniz, with Ryan Sessegnon coming in second and third for his efforts against Southampton (13.9%) and Liverpool (13.3%).
