To mark the beginning of Dementia Action Week 2024/25, Fulham FC Foundation proudly partnered with Hammersmith & Fulham Council and the Hammersmith & Fulham Dementia Action Alliance to host a special Afternoon Tea for local residents living with dementia, along with their families and carers.
The event took place on Level 2 of Fulham Pier, which opened its doors for the very first time to welcome over 150 guests. The stunning riverside venue provided a beautiful backdrop for an afternoon filled with joy, community spirit, and meaningful connection. The atmosphere was filled with smiles, laughter, and dancing, as attendees enjoyed tea, treats, and entertainment in a warm and inclusive setting.
Laura Everton, Health & Wellbeing Manager at Fulham FC Foundation, had this to say about the successful event:
“The afternoon tea was an excellent celebration of diversity and inclusion, providing opportunities and experiences to people living with dementia and their families. This is something that we’re incredibly passionate about and we’re so grateful to be able to provide these experiences through our Fulham Teammates programme.
"A special thank you to our colleagues at Fulham Pier and Fulham FC for helping to make this event possible, and a huge thank you to Hammersmith and Fulham Council and Hammersmith and Fulham Dementia Action Alliance for including us in the plans for such a wonderful event for Dementia Action Week 2025.”
