On 1st September 2026, the Club announced the signing of Manuel Ángel for an undisclosed fee from Real Madrid on a three-year deal, keeping him at Craven Cottage until June 2029, with a Club option to extend by a further 12 months.

A two-footed central midfield player, Ángel is comfortable with the ball at his feet, is intelligent with his movement, and has a keen eye for a pass.

Having started his career at Sevilla, Ángel moved to Real in 2018, linking up with the club’s Under-15s initially, and working his way up to Castilla – where he was named captain by Álvaro Arbeloa going into 2025/26.

It was also Arbeloa who gave him his senior bow, with the player appearing four times in La Liga in the second half of 2025/26, in addition to featuring in each of their UEFA Champions League victories over Manchester City.
