Forward Sophie Gillies arrived at Fulham FC Women ahead of the 2026/27 season, bringing a proven goalscoring record and consistent threat in the final third as the Club prepared for life in Tier 3 following consecutive promotions.

She arrived from Exeter City, where she scored 109 goals in just over 100 appearances and played a central role in the club’s rise through the pyramid. Her recent form included 29 goals in 20 appearances in her final season, finishing third in the Tier 3 Golden Boot standings after placing second the season prior with 23 league goals.

Gillies first joined Exeter City at 16 and made an immediate impact, scoring 50 goals in her debut season. She later moved to the United States to study at the University of California, continuing her development before returning to Exeter ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, where she immediately reasserted herself with a hat-trick on her first league start back.

Across her career to date, Gillies built a reputation as one of the division’s most consistent forwards, with a record defined by sustained output and decisive contributions in key moments.
